Math:  Deep understanding is better than speed in math

- students worked in pairs on a paper folding activity and made convincing arguments that they had folded a square piece of paper in specific ways.
- students refined their understanding of the concepts of area, shapes (specifically a square) and fractional amounts.

Science: Observation & Inference Assessment

August 29 - Meet the Teacher Evening 6-8pm ** There will be early dismissal for students this day
Sept 4 - Journey 2050 Field Trip (Look for paperwork early next week)
Sept 6 - Pancake Breakfast & Guest Speaker Event (more details to come...)
